The AJAX Dualcurtain Outdoor detector is equipped on both sides with optical systems with narrow viewing angles, each system contains two PIR sensors. Thanks to the built-in temperature compensation, detection always remains accurate. Our new digital algorithm, ELSA, analyzes the signals from the sensors. The alarm is only activated when both sensors of the same optical system detect human movement at the same time.

No false alarms

The AJAX alarm DualCurtain Outdoor is equipped with technology that expands the protected area, which is unique among curtain motion detectors for outdoor use. When proximity detection is enabled, the top PIR sensor gets an extra narrow detection sector that points downwards at an angle of 40 degrees. This allows both sensors to detect movement when someone enters the protected area close to the detector itself, solving the blind spot that many other detectors have. The proximity detection is designed to protect windows and other access areas where pets cannot reach. Due to the proximity of the detection zones, the effectiveness of pet immunity is greatly reduced.

A single housing with two independent detectors

The detection range of the two optical systems is independently adjustable. This allows you to fine-tune the environment protected by the DualCurtain Outdoor and prevent false alarms from, for example, a moving bush in the wind or passers-by on the public road. To prevent the detector's view from being obstructed by a column or drainpipe on a facade, the optical systems can be shifted horizontally. The app allows you to adjust the sensitivity or disable one of the optical systems.
